Samantha | Middle Tennessee Athlete - Forrest High School

Athlete, Portrait, Senior

Whew, it was a HOT day for Samantha's session! It was in the high 90s, and the humidity had no mercy. Not only was it hot, but we were racing a thunderstorm. Despite the heat and storms, this session turned out beautifully. Sam was so much fun to work with. She was so easygoing the whole time and rolled with the process.

timeless family farm

We started Sam's session on a beautiful local farm in Lewisburg, TN. It had all the details you'd expect, long driveway lined with big trees, a perfect white farmhouse, fences and open fields. It really doesn't get much better. I started the tunes, and Sam dove right in with smiles and twirls in an adorable bright dress.

open field

I am a sucker for a pretty, open field. Of course, the farm offered this feature. Sam nailed it in a bright top, white flare jeans, and boots. She also drives a big truck, so we had to incorporate it into the session!

splish splash

Next we headed to the creek. Sam changed into another cute dress and went barefoot. I, on the other hand, got into my rain boots and jumped right in. This creek was perfection. It was shallow enough with rocks and rich, green grass growing around it. Thankfully no critters got us!

and the thunder rolls

As we were wrapping up the creek portraits, the thunder started rolling in. To say the timing worked out just right is an understatement. We moved inside the farmhouse, where there were some unique spots that we took advantage of. Samantha changed back into her first dress so she would have bright colors against the neutral tones inside the house.

basketball

We finished the session at the basketball gym. I tried something new - I brought in a fog machine to give a "smokey" look to some of the shots. Hey, I think they turned out pretty decent.

I am really happy with Sam's session. It's a great example of the Senior portrait experience I offer! Before I go, I want to share some black and white portraits, which I always add to the final gallery.
